To make the <Basil Paste>, blend the Basil Paste ingredients in a food processor or blender until it is smooth.

Mix the paste and mayonnaise in a large bowl.

Combine the boiling water and macaroni in a microwave-safe bowl (4 liter or 4 quart.) Cover with a vented microwave lid and cook on HIGH(1200W) for 5 – 6 minutes or until it comes to boil.* Reduce power to LOW(30%) and cook for the length required for stove-top cooking. Drain.

Add the hot macaroni into the paste bowl and mix gently. Garnish with basil leaves before serving.
* When using plastic wrap as a cover, poke a hole in the center to release the steam.
