Pour the rice in a 3-quart casserole and add boiling water. Cover with a vented microwave lid.

Cook on HIGH (1200W) for 5 minutes or until the liquid boils. Switch to LOW(30%) and cook for 14 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes with the cover on.
