4 pieces(1 1/2 lbs.) halibut, bluefish, or cod fillets (skinned and boned)
< Nitsuke Sauce > 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup sugar 1/8 cup white wine 2 red-hot chili peppers, cut in half and seeded 8 slices gingerroot
< Vegetable Sticks > 1 medium carrot, cut into 2-3 inch sticks 1 stalk celery, cut into 2-3 inch sticks 4 red radishes
1. Mix the Nitsuke sauce ingredients in a 3-quart casserole and stir until the sugar dissolves.
2. Place the fillets in the sauce around the perimeter of casserole. Coat the fish with sauce. Cover with a microwave lid.
3. Cook on HIGH (1200W) for 10 – 12 minutes.
4. Place the fillets on heated plates and spoon the sauce over the fish. Serve with vegetable sticks.
* When using plastic wrap as a cover, poke a hole in the center to release the steam.
