Goma Ohitashi with Oyster Sesame Dressing |
An exotic and juicy spinach salad |
|
[4 Servings]
Cooking time: 15 minutes
|
|
2 bunches (1 1/2 lbs.) of spinach, washed, stemmed, and cut into 2-inch lengths
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
< Oyster Sesame Dressing >
1 tablespoon Oyster sauce or soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon white wine
1 tablespoon sesame oil
|
1.
Place the tips of the spinach leaves in first, leaving the stems on the top, in a microwave-safe bowl (4 liter or 4 quart). (This will allow the spinach to cook evenly.)
|
2.
Place a fitted lid on the bowl directly on the spinach leaves. Cook on HIGH (1200W) for 6 - 7 minutes and take out.
|
3.
Pour cold water into the bowl to cool off the spinach. Drain, squeeze the water out, and return the spinach to the bowl.
|
4.
Mix the <Oyster Sesame Dressing> ingredients together, pour over spinach and toss. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
