Place a paper towel on a microwave safe plate and arrange the frozen scallops around the perimeter. Defrost the scallops for 4 minutes on LOW (30%). Defrost the scallops only halfway. If defrosted too long, the scallops will start cooking.

Blot excess water with a paper towel. Slice each scallop into 3-4 pieces.

Divide the sliced scallops equally on 4 individual microwave safe plates for each serving. Sprinkle each serving with salt, green onion strips, and basil.

Sprinkle lemon juice and olive oil over the scallops. Cook 2 minutes on HIGH (1200W). You do not need to cover the plates, but arrange them so that the center of the turntable is empty.

Take the plates out and sprinkle with pepper and serve.
