Place onion, garlic, bay leaf and salad oil in a microwave-safe bowl (2 1/2 liter or 2 1/2 quart) and mix.

Cover with a vented microwave lid and cook on HIGH (1200W) for 1 minute.

Take out and stir.

Add flour, curry powder, cinnamon, crushed red pepper and Garam Masala (optional) and stir.

Cover and cook on HIGH (1200W) for 1 minute.

Take out and stir until it reaches full flavor.

Add salt, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato ketchup and stir until it becomes smooth.

8.
Add 1/2 cup of boiling water at a time until all the water has been used. Stir until it becomes smooth.

9.
Cover and cook on HIGH (1200W) for 2 minutes to finish. Remove bay leaf.
